Referral commission - what is it?
First off, referral commssion is what you get when someone follows a link in to Zazzle and buys something, anything. There is some small print about it, as governed by Zazzle, which explains circumstances when it can be overidden but it's the same rules for everyone and nothing there prevents you from going ahead. As a matter of fact, they actively encourage you to share links and earn referral commission.
What it isn't
Remember, this has nothing to do with royalties - you'll still get ALL of any royalty due as a result of someone buying one of your product designs.Referral sharing explained
In referral sharing, half the links created by the Nifty tools will use your associate/referral id and half will use mine.Which is which is chosen randomly each time at the toss of a computer-generated coin.
Why do that?
The servers where the tools live have to be paid for. And a little extra for my time spent creating and maintaining them would be nice :)The good thing about referral sharing is there's no financial cost to you up front. And for struggling artists, as 99.99% of us are, a no-cost way of testing the waters is a brilliant thing!
Many have been stung trying Facebook and Pinterest adverts - outlaying many tens of dollars with little or no return. There's even a few topics about it on the Zazzle forum.
With referral sharing, there's no outlay, anything you get is pure profit - and, with the auto-provided and dated tracking codes, you'll know for sure!
I wish referral-sharing free tools like these had been available when I first started trying to earn referral commission - I would have saved myself 3 years of learning the hard way. Made even harder by the time it took to promote anything by hand!

😎
I'll tell you one thing, once you see that you're earning enough, you'll jump to the subscription route so that ALL future links will use your referral id and, that way, you'll get ALL the referral commissions arising. The number of fellow Zazzlers who have is already in double figures!
