Linkify - the new Nifty Promo Control Panel tool, just released

Linkify is a new tool for the Nifty Promo Control Panel that lets you quickly add Product Grid or Slideshow links to text.

You can see it for yourself, here.

As ususal, first get the products you want to use sorted out in Step 1. As I'm writing about Steampunk in this example and will start with posters, this is how I set up the products to use for my first link:

So, on with Linkify.... You start with some plain text. I'm going to use:

Steampunk is a cosplay genre that attracts ardent support from right across the world. Its visual style is a cross between Victorian elegance (dress, manners and style of speech), with hugely Gothic overtones and mad clockwork and steam-driven machinery. Quoth the Raven and associated imagery is popular in this genre, too.

There are even sites devoted to helping you choose your role-play character name, occupation and place of birth / business. Some of the profile card templates you see use sample ones that conjure up all sorts of scenarios. I love this one: Lady Rosalind Sophronia Cuttle, Aristocrat Adventuress, Enforcer from The Land of Icefall.

Steampunkers love to theme up their homes, too. Don't be surprised to see home projects of cog-wheel table lamps made from old engine parts and aniquated gear mechanisms. And even if you're not the sort to get out the soldering iron or welding torch - you can still get lots to turn your room into an antiquarian steampunk hideaway.

Throw cushions and poufs are always popular - but don't forget your accoutrements for when you're out and about. What Victorian Adventurer would go out without a hip flask, bottle opener, vanity mirror or wallet?

Here it is, with the word 'Steampunk' selected:

I've already chosen the products I want for this link in Step 1. Now I decide I'm going to link to a slideshow, so I click that button. Here it is after clicking:

All I do now, is keep going round: Step 1 to get the products, Linkify the next bit of text. Repeat.

Here's the final text, after all that linkifying:

Of course, you now need to format it and put in paragraph breaks etc but all the heavy lifting has been done for you :)
