Find out how your older preschoolers can learn the notion of More and Less while having exciting fun

Learning through play is the stickiest learning of all

The natural way that kids learn is through play. It's been like that since the dawn of time, so we've built an iOS iPad (and iPhone) app to make that happen for the really important concept of More and Less.

Funny cartoon sounds, fun emoji and visual celebrations will make sure your older preschoolers have lots of fun playing the app - so much so, they'll want to play time after time!

Once you help them with the first game, they'll be able to play by themselves. They'll love it so much, you'll be able to get on with other things, undisturbed 😎

There are over 100 emoji in sports, animals and nature, transport and everyday objects. The game chooses one at random and then pairs it with another.

Gameplay starts by showing the first one and then asks the question "Will there be more or less?"

The gameplay area then fills with some of one and more of the other:

The player then has to decide if there are, in this case, more or less hedgehogs and then tap the corresponding button. If right, a funny "right" cartoon sound plays and the player is rewarded with a visual celebration.

If wrong, a funny "wrong" cartoon sound plays - but with no visual celebration.

See and hear it in action in the video. The first level is played and then the video skips to the end to show the high score celebration:

More about the gameplay

If the player takes too long to tap one of the buttons, the bonus multiplier slowly reduces and a beep plays, lowering in tone until the bonus multiplier reaches 1.

The bonus multiplier is another learning opportunity - if your child shows any curiosty. It's likely that only your older children will gain something from it but it's there to take advantage of, if the opportunity presents itself.

There are 4 runs per level and a total of 5 levels. It starts off easy, with few images and a big difference between the number of each shown. As the levels progress, the number of images shown increases and the difference between the number of each reduces.

BigKids Mode

There's also a BigKids mode, with its own high score table. In this harder mode there are more images shown on each level, with a smaller difference between the number of each shown and the bonus multiplier counts down faster.
